-General
Appraiser Training: March 6 2010,
4pm - 5:30pm via LiveMeeting™ teleconference. Before the March 20 tournament we will have two training sessions that last
about an hour each. The first training is a General Appraiser Training for all
appraisers on March 6th, and the second is a challenge-specific training. Trainings this year will be handled through LiveMeeting™ format
and phone. LiveMeeting™ is handled over the
Internet, and a high speed Internet line is preferred (DSL, cable, or T1). Training slides
can be viewed on a computer screen, and we will talk simultaneously by phone
in a teleconference call. Information for how to dial into the
teleconference phone call and how to access the LiveMeeting™ will be
transmitted to appraisers in an e-mail a few days prior to the March 6th training.

- DI Skills Day: Oct. 24, 2009 (1:30pm - 4:30pm), at St. Francis School (233 West Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202). Some important details:

Skills Day Flier
- Registration cost is $4 per child or $25 per team (to cover materials and use of the facility). Registration begins at 12:30p on Oct. 24. Registration is required!
- Our goal is to have a variety of basic skills activities. We may include technical sessions and sessions on character and story development.

Directions from Northern KY:
- Take I-71 S toward LOUISVILLE
- Merge onto I-65 S toward LOUISVILLE / NASHVILLE.
- Take the JEFFERSON ST exit- EXIT 136-C- toward DOWNTOWN.
- Take the JEFFERSON ST ramp.
- Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto E JEFFERSON ST.
- Turn LEFT onto 3RD ST. Continue to follow 3rd ST.
- St. Francis is on the corner of 3rd and Broadway, on your left as you
come up 3rd Street (~ 4-5 blocks from Jefferson; the last street before Broadway is Chestnut).
Street parking should be available. In addition, there is a garage right behind the school on 3rd St (on the left just before the school as you come
up 3rd toward Broadway). The second floor is accessible (no gate) and is permit-parking during the week, but the garage is practically empty on weekends. There should be no problem with anyone parking there, as well.
